Welcome

... and thank you for showing an interest in my webpage. My name is Kelly Sabara. I am 26 years old and I am from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

I recently graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Windsor and I am a Registered Nurse. I chose the Nursing program because I enjoy caring for people. I want to be able to educate my clients and assist them in overcoming their troubles, both physical and emotional. I have a special interest in working with oncology, geriatric, and palliative patients as well.

In my quest to finding new ways of helping people, I discovered Reiki, a wonderful energy healing method. My Reiki journey began in late August 2006. My best friend had discovered the Reiki-Do Natural Healing Center, a place where Reiki treatments were offered by two Reiki practitioners and instructors. She raved about her first experience getting Reiki and encouraged me to give it a try.

My first experience as a client was a back treatment, as I had been having pain in my lower back. At the time, I was also seeing a chiropractor and taking anti-inflammatory medication. They informed me that Reiki works with all other forms of health care and enhances their effects as well. I was a bit skeptical, but kept an open mind. After the treatment, my back pain was gone, and after a few more back treatments it stayed that way.

I began receiving regular treatments and discovered an immense interest in energy healing. After experiencing its benefits on myself I decided to take Reiki courses. I took my Reiki Level I at the Reiki-Do Natural Healing Center. Eight months later, I took the Level II course, and the next year I became a Reiki Master Practitioner.

Reiki and Nursing are my two passions in life. I have been studying Reiki almost as long as I have been studying Nursing and they work extremely well together. I use Reiki every day, especially in Nursing, and in any number of situations.

I really enjoy practicing Reiki. Most importantly, I do it for myself everyday. I perform Reiki on myself because I feel it is a good way to heal the strains put on my body and mind from daily life. Reiki has helped me to be more creative, more balanced, more relaxed, and more aware of the world around me.

I enjoy giving Reiki to anyone who expresses an interest in Reiki and asks for my help. I have gotten wonderful results with all the people I have worked on. That kind of validation encouraged me to continue walking on this path and start practicing Reiki publicly. I'm thrilled to be able to help people in so many ways!

When I am not working, studying or practicing Reiki, I like to be physically active and I like to spend time listening to music which I am very passionate about.

Not long ago, while still in school, I wrote a study about Reiki, that I published on Reiki-Do's website: The Benefits of Reiki for Hospitalized Clients.

Thank you again for taking your time to visit my webpage. If you would like to find out more about Reiki, or to book an appointment, please contact me or twitt me.

I wish you great health and happiness and hope to hear from you soon!
